Amastris Marriage Events
Amastris of Herakleia
这条信息可能已不适合当前版本,最后更新于1.4。 |
The despotate of Heraclea Pontica lies in the path of future expansion into Bithynia and would make a useful staging point in our conflict with the Phrygians to the south.
The kingdom is ruled by Basilissa Amastris, niece of the defeated Darius III of Persia. She first married Alexandros' general Krateros, who, changing his mind, arranged her marriage to Dionysios, the fat king of Heraclea Pontica. She bore him two sons before he ate himself into untimely death, and now rules the land herself.
Marriage has always been the surest way of forming alliances, and a well placed nuptial could bring their lands into our domain - not to mention the prestige of wedding a princess of Persia.

Lysimachos Offers Marriage
这条信息可能已不适合当前版本,最后更新于1.4。 |
The ongoing conflict between the diadochi kingdoms of Thrace and Phrygia has brought the vulnerability of our location between the two warring states to the fore.
Many in Heraclea Pontica fear we will be consumed by a rampaging army or forced to surrender our freedom to the victor once they have esablished their rule over the area. However, it seems the shrewd politics of Basileus Lysimachus of Thrace may offer a solution.
Whether because of the prestigious breeding of Basilissa Amastris - a niece of the defeated Darius III of Persia - or our strategic position on the Phrygian side of the Bosporos straits, Lysimachus has asked for the hand of Amastris.
She seems quite taken with the idea, though there are many at court who argue this is merely a poorly veiled attack on our sovereignty.

Lysimachos and Amastris
这条信息可能已不适合当前版本,最后更新于1.4。 |
The below description is one of several available for this event.
Lysimachos seems quite taken with his bride, and there were many speeches, toasts, and proclomations of the everlasting friendship that has been forged between our two great states.
However, with Amastris now in Thrace now by the side of Lysimachos, the direct administration of Heraclea Pontica has fallen to [dhe_thrace_oxyathres_scope.GetName], and we would be wise to ensure that he is not tempted by patriots of his land to disavow the subordinate relationship of Heraclea Pontica...

The Persian Princess
这条信息可能已不适合当前版本,最后更新于1.4。 |
Heralds bring news from Thrace, where diadochos Lysimachos has taken the Persian princess Amastris, niece of the Persian king of kings Darius III who was defeated by Alexander the Great, as his bride.
Some say Lysimachos has been bewitched by folious dreams of barbarian aggrandizement, and wishes to legitimize his claim to Alexander's empire. Others, that it is merely a ploy to gain control of the widowed princess's holdings in Heraclea Pontica - after which Lysimachos will cast her aside...

The Fate of Pergamon
这条信息可能已不适合当前版本,最后更新于1.4。 |
The death of the ambitious one-eyed general Antigonos must surely herald the beginning of the end for his realm. We have received word that the authority of Demetrios, his successor, begins to dissolve in Asia even now, where a defecting general with some knowledge of the area named Philetairos attempts to carve out a base of power for himself in Pergamon.
By offering to protect Philetairos we may achieve our long desired expansion into Asia without tedious battles and sieges. Then again, his fledgling state is weak - a swift invasion may bear fruit before Philetairos can gather his forces and establish his rule...

Our spies bring word that the contemptible dotard Lysimachos, self-proclaimed Basileus of Thrace, spared no time in exploiting our misfortunes and has convinced Philetairos, ruler of the new state of Pergamon, to accept his protection as a nominal governor under his thumb.

The Administration of Asia
这条信息可能已不适合当前版本,最后更新于1.4。 |
Our expansion into Asia has encouraged the defection of many Phrygian notaries who see the writing on the wall for Antiogonos' kingdom.
One such man is Philetairos, a well regarded member of the old court. Taking advantage of the turbulent situation, Philetairos has tried to establish himself in Asia as governor, or even king, of the old city of Pergamon.
He approaches us now, offering to govern the region on our behalf and pay tribute to us in exchange.

Odrysia events
The Odrysian Stronghold
这条信息可能已不适合当前版本,最后更新于1.4。 |
The lands we call home were carved out of the barbarian wastes of Thrace relatively recently by the strength and tenacity of Philippos II and his son Alexander the Great. We should not forget how much blood was spilled, nor how much remains to be done.
Prior, the Odyrsian kingdom was the dominant power in the area, and they did not go quietly. The savage Seuthes III has been a constant thorn in Macedonian sides, sending raiding parties into the hinterlands and dividing our attention when it could be spent elsewhere, even in spite of his promised subservience.
At long last, Basileus Lysimachos has convened a council to discuss our policy towards these brutes...

The below description is one of several available for this event.
As we expected, the dogs have once again struck out, no doubt accusing us our past victories as aggression. They have treacherously sent soldiers to seize the cities along our shared border, showing the true worth of their vows and destroying any obligations we might have owed them.
Many loyal tribesmen have fled with their families to our stronghold of Seuthopolis, they will join our banners and defend Odrysia to the last.
