Seleukid flavor events

This page lists the main flavour events for the  塞琉古帝國, which compose an event chain detailing its interactions with  孔雀 at the beginning of the game and choosing between ceding territory for a truce or resuming the Seleucid-Mauryan War.

The Eastern Satrapies

Decades ago Alexander invaded India and extended his empire to the Indus, but the many wars between the successor kings have left these Eastern Satrapies isolated and weak.
In the past year Chandragupta Maurya has united northern India, crushing the Nanda Empire, while sweeping in over the Greek Satraps in the Indus Valley.
It has been suggested that we should cut our losses, and give up the last of the Eastern Satrapies to the Mauryas, or this conflict could drag out for years. A truce would also buy us the time we need to consolidate our own empire and defeat the other successors.

Immediate effects  巴克特里亞 gets claims on all territories in the provinces of Aria, Paropamisadae, and Tapuria  帕提亞 gets claims on all territories in the provinces of Hyrcania, Comisene, and Traxiane

Tooltip: If the Mauryas agree the following will happen: Opis (914) start producing Elephants A random army that is not in a battle or siege, preferring those not in Paropamisadae, Sattagydia, Arachosia, Pactya, Gedorsia, or Parecania, will get 5 war elephant cohorts The Provinces of Bamyan, Sattagydia, Arachosia, Pactya, Gedrosia and Parecania, will be transferred to the   Mauryas If  阿拉科西亞 exists and is a subject of  塞琉古帝國, make it into a satrapy of  孔雀 If  犍陀衛 exists and is a subject of  塞琉古帝國, release it as independent The ruler of  孔雀 marries a random adult female member of the   Seleukid ruling family Get a truce with  孔雀 for 15 years We will offer them no such thing!  孔雀 gets the event The Greek Menace Tooltip: The war with the   Mauryas will likely resume immediately. Decades ago Alexander the Great invaded our subcontinent and defeated the local rulers of the Indus valley. Many things have changed since then however. The death of the great conqueror has seen his empire divided among squabbling successors and the meteoric rise of Chandragupta Maurya has transformed northern India.
In the past year Mauryan armies have seized the Indus Valley and are advancing on the positions of the successor king Seleukos.
An emissary from Seleukos, is now offering to give this region up, in return for a treaty of friendship with our empire.

The Greek Menace

An Uneasy Truce

The Mauryas have agreed to a truce. This would allow both of our states some much needed respite. Time for rebuilding and for consolidation of our young empire.

While this would mean turning our back on the Greek cities in the Indus valley for now it may be the most prudent course of action.
