Laws can be enacted to give you some bonuses. With the Republic government type, you will first need to let the Senate vote on the law first. Even if the Senate doesn't support the law, you can still force it through, although you will gain some tyranny. You will need 250Oratory power.png Oratory Power to pass a law.
